#9 of All the Things- Drunk History

In honor of President’s Day I decided to tell you all about the show Drunk History with Derek Waters on Comedy Central.  It’s my new favorite way to learn history!

It’s a show where experts tell the real stories of what really happened in history while intoxicated. Actors act out the stories while lip-syncing all the crazy things the drunk historian says.

The episode that I watched most recently was season 4 episode 9 and it aired on November 29th, 2016. Lin-Manuel Miranda was the guest host and he talked about the relationship between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr.

The story was interesting and was very entertaining and included a facetime call from his friend Questlove and a spontaneous jam session of a Semi Sonic song.

My favorite quote was:

“In his last act of political, I don’t know if it’s genius, or f***-you-ed-nius, he damns Burr for life.” Lin-Manuel Miranda

Here is a preview:

It’s available on Comedy Central for free if you have a cable subscription.  I believe it’s also free if you have a subscription to Hulu or Amazon.   It’s available from $1.99 per episode on YouTube and Google Play. Also available on iTunes and something called Vudu.

Question of the day.  What is your favorite show that either teaches you things or inspires you?
